Taking Taalim from Pt. A.Kanan with Pt. Samar Saha on Tabla

Sandip Ghosh started his training in Hindustani Classical Music at Sangeet Bharati, Kolkata under the guidance of classical music exponent Late Shri Sukhendu Goswami.

Later, he found his guru and mentor in legendary vocalist Late Pandit A. Kanan, with whom he began his taalim and entered the realm of Kirana gharana.

Sandip became a scholar of premier music institution, Sangeet Research Academy(SRA) in Kolkata to further broaden his horizon in the realm of Hindustani Classical music. At SRA, he had the opportunity to train under several legendary singers fostering the creative exploration of this great genre of music in the setup of Gurukul as practiced in ancient India. During his tenure at SRA, he again had the opportunity to train under Late Pandit A. Kanan, and later under the patronage of noted singer, composer, and scholar, Late Pandit K.G. Ginde.

Sandip also had the opportunity to train in Rabindra Sangeet under the guidance of legendary singer Shri Subinoy Roy, considered one of the best-known exponents of Classical based songs composed by Nobel laureate Rabindranath Tagore.
